Salvation

Location: Gate Theatre, Notting Hill

Date: 1995

Salvation was the name we gave to two separate pieces that made up an evening’s entertainment. The first half of the evening was a collection of short plays by Joe Pintauro. The second half was Pintauro’s extraordinary long one-act play Raft of the Medusa. The event was produced by the London Gay Theatre Company, and was our third show.

It played to packed houses at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill, where Marcus D’Amico, Carmela Marner, Lolly Susi and Allan Corduner, among many others, gave out-of-this-world performances. Richard Sampson affected some breathtaking choreography, Paul Arditti designed the sound, and Rob Howell created another of his amazing sets.
